About Us
Vienna Public Library was established by the Vienna Woman's Club in 1954 and reorganized under an independent Board of Trustees through the City of Vienna in 1973.  Vienna Public Library's mission is to provide people of all ages free access to diverse library materials, programs and services. 
 
Current programs are children's weekly story hour, summer and holiday reading programs, History Alive and other lectures for adults, beginning computer classes, adult crafts and Knit Nights. 
 
The primary geographic area served is Wood County, population 87,986.  The library also serves patrons from Washington County and surrounding West Virginia counties.
 
Hours:
Monday - Thursday    10am - 8pm
Friday                       10am - 5pm
Saturday                   10am - 4pm
*Sunday                      2pm - 5pm
* The library is closed Sundays Memorial Day through Labor Day.
